RTX Remix Compatible

Some updates as well as help wanted, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello! wanted to give a small update on this mod, been busy working firstly to see how the game's maps would look in source engine ray tracing (via gmod RTX see below for images of that) some updates to the mod itself:

- successfully removed culling from the game maps (needed for rtx)
- been working on learning the ins and outs of the source code itself

I do not plan to abandon this mod at all, however with that it would be greatly appreciated if anyone with a knowledge of the game as well as knowledge of graphics api (opengl and d3d9), even with no help on this I will continue to do this as I want to see this in a finished state, but it will be longer without any help. if you wish to help just pm me here or dm my discord _.mochabean._

(source engine maps and are not from base game RTCW)

It's good to see that the mod isn't dead, Mocha. If I could help you I would, but I'm not skilled in any of the areas you're looking for.

What does this mean, in relation to "Nvidia RTX"?

- successfully removed culling from the game maps (needed for rtx)

I've never heard of culling before.

well culling is when an object in game is removed when out of sight, this is not good for nvidia RTX as the lighting will phase through the lights causing weird looks from the game. if you remove the game culling, the objects no longer disappear meaning the lighting will be consistent. its a relatively easy fix in the source code but shouldnt be done in any mod that isnt attempting rtx as it causes small performance drops
