I'm sorry, Andrew, but I have no idea idea why that's happening. Can't you manually edit your configuration file for "RtCW" and change the brightness level that way?

Rename the zz_Sl_RtCWHD.pk3 file from the Splatterladder RtCW HD Pack to z_Sl_RtCWHD.pk3, that should fix it

When you updated the game it should have created the Sp_Pak4.pk3 file for you. Here, try this File.io
