The Old Realms is a fan made mod project for the game Mount & Blade: Bannerlord. This project is 100% unofficial and in no way endorsed by Games Workshop. We do not accept donations nor do we receive any financial gain from this project.
The mod is split into submodules, all of which can be found within the download folder from ModDB. Ensure your Bannerlord is on the current appropraite version for our mod. If you need to upgrade/downgrade your Bannerlord to the correct version, do the following:
Select Mount and Blade II via Steam, right click, “Properties” Ensure your Bannerlord is on the correct version
Download and extract the zip archive into your Bannerlord Modules folder just as you would with any other mod.
OR - You can subscribe to our mod via the steam workshop: Steamcommunity.com
Please ensure you have Bannerlord Harmony installed as well. It is required. Nexusmods.com
(Important) If you have a previous version of our mod installed, you must: Completely remove all old module folders Delete your shader cache from C:\ProgramData\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord\Shaders (delete both TerrainShaders and CoreShaders folders) Note: Please be aware that ProgramData is a folder hidden by Windows by default. You have to adjust your Windows view settings to be able to see it
When launching the game, use the following load order:
- Harmony
- Taleworlds Modules
- Armory
- Environment
- Core
The Old Realms does not officially support any game changing mods other than Bannerlord Harmony (Which is required)
-Shader Cache loadtime disclaimer-
The very first time you load the game after downloading and enabling our mod will be slow. The game will appear to be stuck on the loading screen - this is normal. The game is compiling shaders in the background. Depending on your PC's specifications, this may take anywhere from 10 minutes to over an hour. Once you are in the main menu, it is highly recommended that you pick the option to "Build Shader Cache". This will also result in a long loading screen, but once you are done, your gameplay experience is going to be smooth. This step is not mandatory, but if you choose to not do it, your campaign will have many 5 minute loading screens when loading into battles until you have encountered all types of armies/parties with all of our custom assets present. Item thumbnails in the inventory, troops and characters in the encyclopedia may look like their textures have artifacts ("stripes"). This is a native rendering bug for the Bannerlord game and is not in our power to fix it. Please petition the game developer TaleWorlds to fix it sooner rather than later. This is a universal problem and affects all mods that have custom assets.
Sweet! Waiting for that article to drop :D
I can't change my load order in launcher
You should always be able to. The only modules you cannot switch are native ones ( except for CustomBattles )
No clue what to do then. It won't allow me to move the load order to the way it is in the video
para que version del juego es esta version?
Bannerlord had a little update today and now TOR always crashes on start-up, I get the vanilla loading screen but as it tries to switch to the TOR one, it goes black-screen and crashes, and the crash report mod doesnt pop-up so I dunno how to fix it my end
Same thing here. Darn!
Same issue, wont let me play the mod now. :/
can confirm that they have a fix on their discord server, the fix goes as follows:
-Step 1-
Navigate to your programdata folder either by;
1) Type %programdata% in your searchbar(or press windows key + r )
->Mount and Blade II Bannerlord->delete "Shaders" folder.
2) Enable hidden folders, C->Programdata->Mount and Blade II Bannerlord->delete "Shaders" folder.
-Step 2-
Navigate to your Bannerlord installation folder and go into the shaders->D3D11 folder
1) Example; C/Steam/Steamapps/common/Mount and Blade II Bannerlord/Shaders/D3D11/
2) rightclick bannerlord in steam->browse files->shaders/D3D11/ )
Inside of that folder you should see a file called compressed_shaders_cache.sack, delete that aswell.
This fix does not work, at least for me. Still getting a crash on loading screen, even before the menu
I had this problem. I figure game default use Launcher ,,Launcher.Native" in game folder --> crush on loading screen. When i use ,,TaleWorlds.MountAndBlade.Launcher" --> Working
Anyone figure out a fix for this yet?

what version of the game should this mod be installed on ?
Are this mode modules up to date in steam workshop also? They are being updates there too right?
1) Is it possible to become vampire as human (from human faction)?
2) Is it possible for human to learn more then 1 type of lore magic (not just basic + 1 spell tree? Or only vampire can do that?
Bug report:
For me the skill does not work Catalyst (spellcraft 200) does not work. Put whatever equipment you want - it wont add any extra wind.
Guys maybe only a specific Bannerlord version works? Idk, I'm just getting an "application has run into a problem" popup.
What I already tried:
-Shaders cache
-Reverting to 1.0.1 and 1.0.2
-Installing Harmony .88
-Reinstalling Harmony
-Reinstalling TOR.
Nothing works :c
For me - I used steam and found all 4 modules in workshop (3 modules for TOR and 1 for harmony) and it worked just like that when subscribed. Just except mods like MBSuperSpeed (which is really helpful to speed up battles, moving in all locations in cities, battlefields, hideouts, etc.) dont try to add to much mods - it might be instable

Nope. I have tried everything that has been posted including this. Keeps crashing, can't play base game without uninstalling and reinstalling.
Is there another place to download this from? Moddb is dying, 200kb/s download speed is impossible.
